In computing, Winlogon is the component of Microsoft Windows operating systems that is responsible for handling the secure attention sequence, loading the user profile on logon, and optionally locking the computer when a screensaver is running (requiring another authentication step).
Go to the Notification Area tab and check these boxes.
Go to Computer properties on the desktop and set the Performance options below. Right-click on the desktop and go to Personalization.
Leave the IP address set to DHCP unless DHCP isn’t available on the network.
If the updates fail to download restart and try again.
